Wedding FAQ’s

We’d like to book you, what’s the next step?

A signed agreement, as well as a 30% retainer, is required to lock in the date. On average dates are booked 9 months prior to your wedding date. You can contact me directly for availability, and we can set up a date and time to meet in person to chat further. Usually after our meeting, I know exactly what wedding collection is best for you, what matters to you the most with photography, and of course, it’s a great way to break the ice so I am not a stranger photographing you on your wedding day!

Do you travel for weddings? And what do you charge for travel?

I’m open to pretty much any destination in the US or International destinations. I mostly photograph in Brooklyn, Hudson Valley, and the Hamptons. Typically if a wedding is 2 hours from Brooklyn, there is a charge for gas/tolls, and a one night stay at a hotel near the wedding venue. Each destination wedding is unique and requires special attention, however, we can discuss the specifics during our initial meeting.

When do we get to see our photos?

Less than 6 weeks after your wedding date.

How many pictures should we expect for final delivery?

On average between 60-80 edited photographs per hour is what I deliver, so it all depends on the wedding collection you select and total hours of coverage. After I’ve gone through each one of you images, only then will all images be uploaded to your online gallery.

Do you provide photo albums?

Yes I do! I currently use Vision Art, they provide great coffee table style albums with a fine art touch, with plenty of options for complete customization on your album.

Who will be photographing our wedding with you?

I usually shoot weddings by myself, unless the total guest count is over 125 guests. I do recommend a second shooter at that point to help cover all the important moments at your wedding. All my second shooters match my style of photography and are experienced photographers. At final delivery your entire collection has a very consistent and cohesive look to it, we will have all angles of your wedding covered!

Do you do portrait shoots?

Yes! I like to refer to “engagement sessions” as portrait shoots. I have done a lot of solo portrait work, and for couples I like documenting you and your loved one in a setting that is most comfortable to you both. That’s why I created the Sundays Series which you can find here. Holding hands and kissing is cool, but I strive to capture your personalities and tell a story through the images we create. Each session is unique for me, because everyone has a different story. During our consultation we will go over what matters to you the most, and what would be most important for to you look back on 20 years from today.

Do you have insurance?

My insurance is covered by Hill & Usher, and has liability coverage for up to $2,000,000.

What’s in your camera bag?

I use all Canon camera bodies (5D MarkIII and 5D MarkII) as well as prime lenses by Canon and Canon flash equipment. Always with at least 2 camera bodies so you are always covered!
